Why I started Baldies
As a bald guy, I realized hat choices are not as simple as they are for everyone else. Fitted hats often do not fit properly, and the style options can feel limited. The best-looking and most common everyday hats are usually snapbacks — but for bald people, that open back gap creates a problem.
As a golfer, I was constantly battling gnarly hat tan lines. I wanted to protect my scalp while playing in the sun, but I hated the embarrassing tan line it left behind — especially in professional settings where I could not just throw a hat on and hide it.
I created Baldies because I did not want to sacrifice sun protection, style, or confidence. Baldies is here to help people embrace being bald while giving them smarter products built for real life outside.
